מוסחף, עמוד 591

1. وَالسَّمَاءِ وَالطَّارِقِ

   By the sky and the night comer -

   86:1

2. وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الطَّارِقُ

   And what can make you know what is the night comer?

   86:2

3. النَّجْمُ الثَّاقِبُ

   It is the piercing star -

   86:3

4. إِنْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ لَمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌ

   There is no soul but that it has over it a protector.

   86:4

5. فَلْيَنْظُرِ الْإِنْسَانُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ

   So let man observe from what he was created.

   86:5

6. خُلِقَ مِنْ مَاءٍ دَافِقٍ

   He was created from a fluid, ejected,

   86:6

7. يَخْرُجُ مِنْ بَيْنِ الصُّلْبِ وَالتَّرَائِبِ

   Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs.

   86:7

8. إِنَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَجْعِهِ لَقَادِرٌ

   Indeed, Allah, to return him (to life), is Able.

   86:8

9. يَوْمَ تُبْلَى السَّرَائِرُ

   The Day when secrets will be put on trial,

   86:9

10. فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ وَلَا نَاصِرٍ

    Then man will have no power or any helper.

    86:10

11. وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الرَّجْعِ

    By the sky which returns (rain)

    86:11

12. وَالْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ الصَّدْعِ

    And (by) the earth which cracks open,

    86:12

13. إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلٌ فَصْلٌ

    Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement,

    86:13

14. وَمَا هُوَ بِالْهَزْلِ

    And it is not amusement.

    86:14

15. إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًا

    Indeed, they are planning a plan,

    86:15

16. وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًا

    But I am planning a plan.

    86:16

17. فَمَهِّلِ الْكَافِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًا

    So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile.

    86:17

18. سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى

    Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High,

    87:1

19. الَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ

    Who created and proportioned

    87:2

20. وَالَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ

    And who destined and (then) guided

    87:3

21. وَالَّذِي أَخْرَجَ الْمَرْعَىٰ

    And who brings out the pasture

    87:4

22. فَجَعَلَهُ غُثَاءً أَحْوَىٰ

    And (then) makes it black stubble.

    87:5

23. سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنْسَىٰ

    We will make you recite, (O Muhammad), and you will not forget,

    87:6

24. إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ

    Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden.

    87:7

25. وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ

    And We will ease you toward ease.

    87:8

26. فَذَكِّرْ إِنْ نَفَعَتِ الذِّكْرَىٰ

    So remind, if the reminder should benefit;

    87:9

27. سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَنْ يَخْشَىٰ

    He who fears (Allah) will be reminded.

    87:10

28. وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الْأَشْقَى

    But the wretched one will avoid it -

    87:11

29. الَّذِي يَصْلَى النَّارَ الْكُبْرَىٰ

    (He) who will (enter and) burn in the greatest Fire,

    87:12

30. ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ

    Neither dying therein nor living.

    87:13

31. قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكَّىٰ

    He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself

    87:14

32. وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّىٰ

    And mentions the name of his Lord and prays.

    87:15
